HOW I GOT HERE
Fueled by a lifelong passion for design, I transitioned from the bustling hospitality industry into UX design and then into a broader focus on design. Born in Yugoslavia (now Bosnia) and arriving in America as a refugee, my diverse cultural experiences have shaped me into an empathetic problem solver and lifelong learner.
From managing a high-volume bars in Chicago, to being a dishwasher in North Carolina, my unique journey has equipped me with resilience, creativity, and empathy. My strengths in visual design, illustration, and empathy have been honed in various roles, and I bring these valuable skills into my design work.
Upon moving to Sheboygan, Wisconsin, with my family, I have embraced a new phase in my career, seeking opportunities that align with my growing interest in design. Following the double diamond framework, I collaborate with team members to create innovative and user-centric solutions. Continuously learning and growing, I strive to make meaningful impacts with my designs.
Outside of work, I enjoy lifting weights, drawing, painting, 3D printing, and coding. My transition from the vibrant world of hospitality to the ever-evolving landscape of design has endowed me with a unique perspective that I carry into each project. I am excited to continue exploring this captivating field in my new home, shaping the future of digital experiences, and contributing to the creative community in Sheboygan.
